The series are improved versions of the Hakutaka 681 series with various upgrades such as barrier-free facilities.
	The series are high-speed super-express trains developed by West Japan Railway Company. The series can travel at up to 160 km/h on conventional tracks in Japan.

	This is a local train model of Hokuetsu Kyuko Co., Ltd. manufactured by Niigata Transys Co., Ltd.
	Videos are displayed on the ceiling of this train while going through a tunnel on national or consecutive holidays.

A local train typically consists of one or two carriages. Please buy a ticket at the ticket-vending machine before boarding, and go through the ticket gate at a manned station.

(There are nine unmanned stations between Echigo Yuzawa and Naoetsu.) When the train has two carriages, please board at the rear of the first carriage. When getting off the train, please proceed to the front of the first carriage, give your ticket to the driver, and then get off the train.
